Ford EcoBoost Engine Wins International Award

Ford 1.0-Liter EcoBoost Engine

The Ford 1.0-liter EcoBoost (R) engine has been named International Engine of the Year for the third consecutive year.  This engine was also named Best Engine Under 1.0-Liter.  It is currently available in the Ford Fiesta and upcoming 2015 Ford Focus.

Ford Introduces All-New 2015 Ford Edge

Ford has released more exciting details for the all-new 2015 Ford Edge.  Expect this amazing vehicle to be loaded with more technology, increased craftsmanship, and improved vehicle dynamics.  Available technology will include Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning, Adaptive Steering technology, Auto Start-Stop technology, Blind Spot Information System and much more.  In addition, the 2015 Ford Edge will be the first model line with standard EcoBoost engine.  Read more about it here.

2015 Ford Mustang Features Innovative Airbag

The 2015 Ford Mustang will feature an all-new inflatable airbag design that provides the front seat passenger with knee airbag protection in a reduced system size and weight.  This new design allows for a roomier interior since the knee airbag system is packaged inside the glove box door.

Ford Releases Sustainability Report

  • Ford releases its 15th annual Sustainability Report highlighting the company’s commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing and the successes it has achieved thus far
  • Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally signs the CEO Water Mandate launched by the U.N. Secretary General, expanding the company’s commitment to water conservation and the environment
  • This year, Ford will begin an initiative to reduce water use by its suppliers worldwide
  • Last year Ford reduced per vehicle water use by 30%

2015 Ford Explorer Offers New Features and Colors

2015 Ford Explorer XLT

Ford has announced some changes for its popular Explorer SUV for 2015:

--New colors include Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Caribou Metallic, and Magnetic Metallic
--18-inch aluminum wheels standard on base
--Class III trailer tow package standard on Explorer Sport
--New appearance package for XLT includes:  20-inch machined aluminum wheels, black body-side cladding and roof rack rails, Magnetic Metallic painted grille, EXPLORER hood badge, and body-color door handles.  The interior features leather-trimmed heated front seats with suede inserts and contrast stitching, plus floor mats with special badging.

Ford Collaborates to Research Sustainable Materials

Ford Collaborates on Sustainable Composite Material

Ford has collaborated with Heinz to research a new sustainable material made using tomato fibers, such as dried tomato skins.  After further durability research, this new sustainable composite material could be used in vehicle wiring brackets and storage bins.  Use of sustainable materials reduces the use of petrochemicals, leading to a reduced impact on the environment. All-New 2015 Ford F-150 Wins Yankee Cup

The all-new 2015 Ford F-150 has been honored with its first-ever Yankee Cup, awarded based on the many innovations found on the 2015 F-150.  The Yankee Cup is given by the New England Motor Press Association with assistance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and highlights an automotive system or vehicle that makes driving safer, more enjoyable, or more cost efficient.  

The 2015 Ford F-150 is loaded with more than 100 patented technologies, making it the most patented truck in Ford company history!
