Night Capable Pedestrian Detection Technology Coming Soon

Night Capable Pedestrian Detection Technology

Do you fear driving at night?  You aren't alone.  Night blindness and collision with a pedestrian are both common fears for drivers.  Ford is excited to introduce a night-capable version of their Pedestrian Detection Technology to help drivers feels more comfortable with night driving.

This system uses information from a bumper-mounted radar plus a windshield-mounted camera to help distinguish people from objects using just the light from the headlights.  If an imminent collision is detected, the system creates audible and vision warnings.  Should the driver not respond, the vehicle will automatically apply the brakes to avoid a collision with the pedestrian.

This Pedestrian Detection Technology will debut later this year on the 2018 Ford F-150 and the 2018 Ford Mustang.  Contact Big Mike Naughton Ford near Denver, Colorado to find out more about this amazing technology and when you can get your Ford F-150 or Ford Mustang equipped with it.
