Three Ford vehicles have topped their segments in the J.D. Power 2015 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.   The study evaluates vehicles for their desirability to own and drive.  It is based on feedback from owners regarding 77 attributes.  

Ford award winners are:

2015 Ford F-150 -- Large Light Duty Pickup segment

2015 Ford Expedition -- Large SUV segment

2015 Ford C-Max -- Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle segment

2015 Ford Expedition Earns Highest Vehicle Safety Rating

The 2015 Ford Expedition has earned a five-star Overall Vehicle Score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  This is the highest vehicle safety rating in the New Car Assessment Program.  

The 2015 Expedition features a variety of standard safety systems including AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™, Safety Canopy® side-curtain airbags, SOS Post-Crash Alert System, tire pressure monitoring system and traction control.  Expedition also debuts an available radar-based Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert.

• Advanced technology in new Expedition includes Blind Spot Information System® with cross-traffic alert, electric power-assisted steering, SYNC® with MyFord Touch®, available suspension damping to improve passenger comfort; a new high-trim Platinum series debuts
• Ford global utility vehicle sales rose 35 percent in 2013; Ford has been the leader in North America utility vehicle sales since 2011
