Ford SYNC 3 Update Available Via WiFi

Ford has released a software update that allows owners of Ford model-year 2016 vehicles with SYNC 3 to update their software to work with Android Auto™  and Apple CarPlay. 

This exciting technology allows you to sync your SYNC 3 with certain platforms of Android and Apple phones to use phone, messaging, and apps on the vehicle's in-car display and utilizing the voice command features.  

You can download this software upgrade by visiting a dealership or using a USB drive.  For the first time, this upgrade is also available via WiFi.  This makes it the most convenient and automated SYNC upgrade.  It couldn't be easier to keep your SYNC 3 system updated with new features.  Choose the Automatic System Updates on the SYNC 3 system and it will occasionally check for updates and download them.  This allows the system to offer new features as software is updated.  The WiFi download will work as long as the vehicle has accessibility to a WiFi connection.

Ford Brings Radio Disney App to SYNC AppLink

Ford is integrating the Radio Disney app into its Ford SYNC® AppLink™ system.  The app for iOS and Android platforms will integrate with available Ford SYNC® AppLink™ to allow streaming of Radio Disney's family friendly music with a touch of a button.  The app will work when a driver connects a smartphone to the available SYNC® via Bluetooth.  Ford is the first automaker to integrate Radio Disney. It should be available to AppLink™ users in early 2015.

Ford Introduces SYNC 3 System

Ford has introduced their newest SYNC® system-  the SYNC® 3.  This new version of the communication and entertainment system features faster performance, better voice recognition, and an easier-to-understand interface for smartphone controls.  The changes were based upon customer comments and suggestions.  You should expect to see this system available in Ford vehicles next year.
