Ford has previewed some exciting driver assist technologies they have currently in development. These technologies are aimed at making driving, whether daily commute or family road trip, safer and more enjoyable. Technologies include:
Evasive Steering Assist - Uses radar and a camera to help assist the driver in steering around a potential collision (shown in the video above)
Cross Traffic Alert with Braking Technology - Senses objects behind vehicle during backing and applies brakes if needed
Enhanced Active Park Assist - Parallel or perpendicular parking can be as easy as pressing a button
Wrong Way Alert Technology- Provides an audible warning if a vehicle is travelling against traffic
These technologies are in development but should hopefully join other currently available technologies, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, and Active Park Assist.
