Set to revolutionize automated driving, several new Ford vehicles will be fitted with specialized Ford Co-Pilot360™ technology. This available technology features innovative elements that allow drivers to experience completely hands-free driving on predetermined sections of the highway. Ford has announced that new 2021 models of the F-150 and Mustang Mach-E will be the first to have this new technology available, with other Ford vehicles gaining functionality over time. With an anticipated release time of the third-quarter in 2021, drivers will appreciate having the ability to drive down the highway without input from the driver.
An upcoming inclusion to the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of features, Active Drive Assist will innovate highway driving. Several sections of highway across the United States will be designated as “Hands-Free Zones”, which are the areas where the new models fitted with this technology will operate automatically without any driver input. Using a complex series of cameras and radar, Ford vehicles with Active Drive Assist going through these zones will have the capability to safely drive through them while the driver completely removes their hands from the steering wheel. This driver assistance technology will aim to be the core of Ford’s safety features moving into the future.
Although the Active Drive Assist is not currently available, current model Ford vehicles have plenty of fantastic driver assistance technology as well. Contact Mike Naughton Ford near Denver, CO today to ask for details on the vehicles we have fitted with superior driver assistance technology. We also will be the premier Ford dealer to purchase any of the 2021 models of the Ford F-150 and Ford Mustang Mach-E when they are released to the public. Active Drive Assist Will Be Available on Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology in 2021
Ford keeps introducing exciting technologies to provide drivers with a more relaxed and enjoyable driving experience. Ford vehicles have a great selection of driver-assist technologies called Ford Co-Pilot360 available on many models. Now, there is an innovative new addition to the Ford Co-Pilot360 system -- Active Drive Assist.
Active Drive Assist adds hands-free driving capability onto the list of abilities provided by Ford Co-Pilot360. The hands-free driving ability is available for over 100,000 miles of divided highways across the United States and Canada. Imagine how easy long road trips will be with this innovative technology! Active Drive Assist is not a substitute for driver attention, so the system includes a driver-facing camera to gauge attentiveness. The system monitors the driver's head position and eye gaze to ensure the driver is still attentive and ready to handle any situations that might arise.
The Active Drive Assist will be available on some 2021 models, including the Mustang Mach-E. You can order the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 Prep Package to have the hardware included, then purchase the Active Drive Assist software when it is available later in 2021. The prep package will also include Active Park Assist 2.0. This newest version of park-assist technology gives a driver confidence when parking the vehicle. You simply hold a button to activate the system to take control of parking in a variety of parking spots with ease. It also has Park Out Assist to help a driver navigate out of a tight parking spot.
Along with these exciting new additions, the Ford Co-Pilot360 system includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot information system, rear backup camera, lane keeping system, and auto high beam lighting. Together these features provide the driver with a more confident driving experience, no matter if you are taking on crowded Denver driving or a road trip to the Colorado mountains.
Contact Mike Naughton Ford in Aurora, CO for more information on these innovations, including how you can order your Mustang Mach-E with the Ford Co-Pilot360 2.0 Prep Package!

New Ford Mustang Mach-E Will Impress You With its Range
Though it will still be awhile until the release of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, the excitement over this all-electric vehicle is building! Ford has consistently released new details about this SUV, making both dealers and customers eager for a chance to drive it. The latest information provided gives us additional information regarding the Mach-E's impressive range. Using an Electrify America DC fast charging station, a Mustang Mach-E driver will be able to add approximately 61 miles of range on only a 10 minute charge for the extended-range battery in the rear-wheel drive SUV. Even the all-wheel drive version with the extended-range battery will see an estimated 52 miles of additional range from the same 10 minute charge.
As part of their efforts to move into vehicle electrification, Ford Motor Company and its network providers have added more stations and charge plugs to the FordPass Charging Network. This will allow Ford Mustang Mach-E owners to plan driving routes throughout Colorado and across the country with confidence that they will find a charging station along the way.
Let Mike Naughton Ford near Denver know you are eager to drive the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. We will contact you when this EV is available, anticipated to be in Fall 2020.
